Lifestyle Shoot
Let’s create some joyful family memories (2 hours). Think of this session as an exciting time to get together with your partner and your little ones. This isn’t about posing and smiling at the camera. Possibilities are limitless and here are a few examples of things that can be done and professionally photographed:

• Making sand castles all together at the beach. (perfect time to reconnect with your little ones)

In home newborn baby photography 

My photography style is minimalist and natural, I like to keep the feature on those tiny perfect ears, the button nose, and the feet that fit in the palm of your hand. Your whole family is included in your newborn baby photography session (yes even pets!) I believe it’s important to capture all of those connections, especially in those early, somewhat hazy, newborn days. I like the session to run as naturally as possible, just do what you would usually if I wasn’t there. If you are breastfeeding and would like, I can capture that special moment. A snuggly moment between siblings, or the gaze of your baby, are the moments I look for. I am able to give gentle guidance along the way to ensure your session flows with ease and that the photos are everything you wish for.

Outdoor family photography

I live in Dayboro, North Brisbane, and travel to my clients and outdoor locations throughout North/South Brisbane and Bribie Island (for Beach Photoshoot). My favourite locations to shoot include Cedar Creek 4520, Bunya Reserve, Kobble Creek Lake in Samsonvale. On a golden sunny morning or late afternoon, these locations are just magical.

I specialise in outdoor shoots in natural environments as I find nature produces beautiful photos, with flattering and gentle lighting.

At times, the client might ask for me to focus more on one person (usually one of the parents who is always the one behind the camera!) Just let me know and I will follow your lead. Otherwise, I aim to take a variety of photos; group, parent and child, siblings and individual. I aim for a good mix of natural and posed, in both colour and black and white.

Being a parent myself I completely understand plans not going to plan, tantrums and all the rest, with this in mind I keep my style very relaxed and have a bag of tricks if things start going south. I do encourage you to play with your children or for them to race each other so that I can capture those natural moments. I might also suggest activities such as spinning your toddler around, smelling a pretty flower or chasing birds - whatever works to keep everyone happy and engaged so I’m able to capture natural expressions!
